Hosea 13:13-15

New American Standard Bible

¹³ The pains of ^(A)childbirth come on him;
He is ^(B)not a wise son,
For ^[a]it is not the time that he should ^(C)delay at the opening of the womb.
¹⁴ Shall I ^(D)ransom them from the ^[b]power of Sheol?
Shall I redeem them from death?
^(E)Death, where are your ^[c]thorns?
Sheol, where is your sting?
^(F)Compassion will be hidden from My sight.

¹⁵ Though he ^(G)flourishes among the ^[d]reeds,
An ^(H)east wind will come,
The wind of the Lord coming up from the wilderness;
And his fountain will ^(I)become dry
And his spring will dry up;
It will ^(J)plunder his treasury of every precious article.
